There’s a song from my youth that has a chorus lyric that defines this wine for me. It goes “We’re still havin’ fun, and you’re still the one.” Yes, the one. The one that I can always find, and the one that always delivers the goods. It’s the definition of Anderson Valley, showcasing the apple and pear character that has attracted me since the wine first became available in the 1980s. When it comes to non-vintage bubbles in California, this is the standard bearer.
