There is plenty of toasty oak here, and it lends a hickory smoke vibe to the core of black fruit. A firm tannic grip doesn’t hold back the clove and smoke notes in the finish. They say it takes 10000 hours to achieve mastery, but you can achieve culinary mastery quickly by giving this a good decanting before serving with a smoked Gouda cheeseburger. Contains 56% Cabernet Sauvignon, 32% Merlot, 7% Petit Verdot, 3% Malbec and 2% Cabernet Franc.
