Acumen’s second vintage of a stand-alone Cabernet Franc tells me that they will certainly be continuing to offer it as an important part of their portfolio. It is wildly deep and expressive, with bright red fruit offset by herbs and oak toast. Sourced from the Edcora vineyard, it carries the volcanic earthy tones that are also present in the stellar Cabernet Sauvignon from the site. It’s already showing beautifully, with solid structure, richness, concentration and length. Bravo! Contains 15% Cabernet Sauvignon, 6% Merlot and 2% Petit Verdot.
