Adega de Portalegre’s “Conventual Reserva” opens with full tilt peach aromatics and backing notes of Asian pear and spice. That promise is delivered on the palate with a nice saline note adding depth. The tart acidity is a plus, and a little chalky grip sustains the flavors. It is a nicely priced accompaniment for crisp green salads or seafood.
