I tasted and scored this wine blind at a competition, and review it now because it rightly deserves a write-up. It is a terrific blend, comprised of Malbec (47%), Cabernet Sauvignon (36%), Cabernet Franc (9%) and Petite Verdot (8%). The winery is located in Southern California (Temecula to be specific), but I can’t vouch for where the fruit came from as it bears the extremely broad “Central Coast” appellation.
