This wine bats well above its “Rosso” designation, showing a stiff structural backbone that you would expect in a wine from the top Bolgheri designation at three or four times the price. It is just starting to show itself through that structure, with black and red fruit starting to peek out through fine grained tannins and oak that’s still out in front. I would age this for five years to start — don’t fear, it will seem like a real bargain when you look back. Contains 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Cabernet Franc,15% Merlot and 5% Petit Verdot.
