Argiolas, Vermentino di Sardegna DOC (Sardinia, Italy) “Costamolino” 2023 ($15, Winebow)

Those who like aromatic and flavorful dry white wines would be well-advised to give Vermentino a try. Grown mostly in Italy and France, it combines floral and fruit elements deliciously. The grapes for the Argiolas 2023 Costamolino Vermentino were grown on the southern part of the island of Sardinia. They were fermented at a cool temperature and aged in stainless steel tanks to enhance the fruit character of the wine. It begins with scents of linden flower, peach, lemon, lime and herbs. On the palate, it shows rich peach and citrus fruits underlain by a full texture and elements of herbs and lime zest. It’s a perfect choice for flavorful seafood recipes.
