I always appreciate winemaker Nate Klostermann’s propensity for aromatically complex, acid-driven wines. The 2022 Estate Reserve fills the bill, showing moderate stem character, tart cranberry, strawberry, rhubarb, oak spice and slight weedy character in that pleasant, cool climate way. Already quite long on the finish, this will benefit from further aging to fully integrate the oak spice, but if you like that spice up front, dive right in. Contains clones 777, 667, 115 and Pommard.
