This southeastern Arizona winery continues to impress with this variety. After fourteen months in sandstone jar prior to bottling, this vintage showing solid varietal signature notes of honeysuckle, stone fruit and mild herb character. The finish accents a grilled peach note, and the wine avoids leaning into overt fleshiness that can muddle things. I’m leaning toward seafood as a pairing for this Viognier.
