B. Wise Vineyards, Russian River Valley (Sonoma County, California) Lucky Well Vineyard Pinot Noir 2021 ($75)

The lovely, floral complexity of this wine sweeps across the palate, offering impressions recalling fresh red cherries and Luxardo cocktail cherries (and almost a hint of red Vermouth – as close as a Pinot can come to being a Manhattan). It also borders on being a bit gamey, but pulls up just short of that line, culminating in a floral finish.
