Fratelli Barale’s history dates back to 1870, and the current owner is the great-grandson of the founder. Sergio Barale and daughters Eleonora and Gloria run the estate and adhere to traditional methods. This is a medium-bodied Dolcetto that carries aromas of crushed black cherries, white pepper, and violets. The taste is dry, full-bodied, and slightly tannic, with loads of black fruit, fig, chocolate, leather, and almond. This is one of Italy’s classic food wines that is perfectly accompanied by meat dishes.
