Blending experiments are a favorite practice among intrepid winemakers, particularly at small producers that allow the freedom to come up with something delicious. This is a winner in said category, blending Syrah, Malbec, Cabernet Franc and Teroldego into a tasty red wine that shows moderate grip, bold fruit, and a little leathery note that offsets the fruit nicely. From an under-heralded region. I will be making it my business to change that.
