This is a nice example of what could go right with this vintage, as the aromas are soft and sweet, with rich fruit that shows bold red and black tones. The texture is soft and the flavors very open, with restrained wood that really lets the wine show its charms. Whether it will merit such high praise in a decade remains to be seen, or not — if buyers drink it in five years as I would recommend.
