Branches Estate Pinot Noir kicks things off with kirsch aromas joined by notes of crushed rock and dried herbs. The palate presents drier than the nose might lead you to expect, allowing the secondary characteristics to balance the cherry notes and give the wine a depth not often found in this price range. I suspect this wine sat around in a closed state, and release was wisely held until now. Tasty stuff!
