“Conversations with My Former Self” begins with a single barrel of Chardonnay from the 2023 harvest, held back and refreshed with a small amount of 2024 wine so the two vintages could ferment together in the bottle. After a year resting on its lees, it was hand-riddled and disgorged. The result is the freshest, most aperitif-styled sparkling wine BXT has released — an intentional “conversation” between vintages, where bright youthful energy meets the first signs of complexity. On the palate, the wine is energetic, finely etched, and remarkably clear. The emphasis is on purity and lift, with crisp acidity and gentle texture working in tandem to keep the wine lively and precise. A low-dosage finish adds tension-fueled freshness, delivering a seamless, mineral-driven profile that feels destined for critical praise.
