The Texas High Plains region in the north of the state is a good distance away from the better known Texas Hill Country, but it can produce beautiful wine when the weather is cooperative. This Tempranillo shows typical grape-y character with underlying red fruit and toasty spice notes. A fairly firm grip extends the finish where a contrasting dill note comes forward. Nicely done!
