This is excellent Cabernet by any international standard at an extremely attractive price. Seeing a bull on the rampage on the front label could mislead you to think this is just another big brute of a Cab, when in fact the wine shows a lot of finesse along with the flavor impact you would rightly expect from premium Cabernet. Aromas and flavors of dark berries form the wine’s core, but are accented very nicely with subtle spice and toast notes as well as a hint of minerality. If you were thinking of this in Northern Hemisphere, it is actually from the 2018.5 vintage, and time in bottle has benefitted this greatly, as it shows some emerging savory notes that also contribute complexity. A terrific deal at this price.
