I usually front Carol Shelton’s name with the words “Zinfandel Master,” and with good reason. Across her portfolio, it’s applicable, and this bottle is another reason why. Carol has a way with dry and fruity not being mutually exclusive descriptors, and it’s evidenced here with snazzy – razzy fruit, bramblebush, fall spice and zippy acidity keeping it all bright and fresh. And it will age beautifully. 94 points for 19 bucks? I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again – Brava! A Platinum Award winner at the 2021 San Diego International Wine & Spirits Challenge.
