Sophisticated and nuanced rather than big and overbearing, “Hombros” has pungent aromas and flavors of dark fruits such as plums and berries. The various vines that produce the fruit are between 50 and 100 years old. The region’s slate and clay soils contribute filaments of minerality to the overall personality of this engaging wine. Any lover of red wine should be charmed by Hombros.
