Italian wines are known for their bright acidity and DOC Bardolino is no different. Established in 2001, Bardolino sits on the eastern shore of Lake Garda in the Veneto region of Italy. Casaretti has been making wines here for over a century. Their Olte Langhe Bardolino Classico is a beautiful neon ruby color and shows tons of minerality and tart red fruit notes. While light in body, this wine has power in both flavor and acidity. This style, blended from 80% Corvina and 20% Rondinella, is easy to gravitate toward. One hopes it continues to be readily available on the market.
