Even though this wine is value-priced, and even though we can be sympathetic with the horrible inflation Argentina is experiencing, I still wonder if Catena isn’t damaging its brand by trying to produce too many wines from a variety of places at a variety of price points. This one has tart though vibrant red berry flavors with a murky richness and moderate tannins, yet it doesn’t seem to measure up to what one expects from a Catena wine.
