A little over half a century ago, Baron Philippe de Rothschild acquired Château Clerc Milon, the Fifth Growth, to reveal the full potential of this great terroir on the left bank of Bordeaux. The 2015 vintage of the Clerc Milon is a blend of 51% Cabernet Sauvignon, 34% Merlot, 13% Cabernet Franc, 1% Petit Verdot, and 1% Carmenere. It offers a gorgeous nose of sandalwood, cinnamon sticks, and candied violets. The palate is opulent with cassis, plum, blackberries, cedar, and spice. The finish reaffirms the pedigree with purity and tremendous length on the finish, and it is something to treasure for years to come.
