Costaripa sources its grapes – 80% Chardonnay and 20% Pinot Nero – from the Lake Garda region just north of Franciacorta. It also utilizes the classical bottle fermentation methodology with about a third of the base wine must fermenting and slowly aging in used 228-litre white oak casks for about eight months. Exhibiting excellent bubble intensity, the wine has light strawberry flavors, is of moderate weight and has a firm, satisfying finish.
