Cuvaison, Los Carneros – Napa Valley (California) Pinot Noir 2022

 The spirit of adventure is always evident in Cuvaison’s limited line — a place where pushing the envelope is something fans have come to expect.  This is definitely on the dark and deep side of Pinot Noir, with earth tones and oak spice forward on the nose.  On the palate the raspberry fruit character manages to be dark and bright at once, while keeping the earth and spice intact from start to finish.  In a blind tasting, you might not identify this as Pinot Noir, but you will certainly identify it as delicious.
