Daou vineyards was founded in 2007 by Georges and Daniel Daou, two brothers who made it in on the American dream. Their Mayote blends both Rhône and Bordeaux varieties (51% Syrah, 41% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 8% Petit Verdot) to make a stunning, complex, and ageable red wine. Dark fruit, sweet spices, and balanced tannins come to life with each sip. This wine is available in the producer’s library release program, and it is nowhere near done aging, open it several hours before serving to properly air. If cellared, drink 2030 to 2036.
