Delmas, Blanquette de Limoux (Languedoc, France) Brut “Tradition” NV ($18)

Now run by the family’s fourth generation, the Delmas winery has been operating for over 100 years. Their vineyards have been certified organic since 1986. This Brut is made primarily from Mauzac which is rarely grown outside of the area. Aged on the yeast lees for 18 months, it shows an attractive aroma of apple and yeastiness. Light and lively on the palate, it offers elegant apple flavors and finishes on a crisp note. The bubbles remain very active, making this a pleasant bubbly at a very nice price.
