This is an admirably stylish Sauvignon Blanc from California that stays true to the natural ripeness provided by growing conditions in the Golden State…while also giving a nod to the Kiwi style that now defines the world’s expectations for this variety. The fruit profile shows more melon than citrus character, but there’s enough of the latter to keep the wine zesty and fresh, and enough grassy, herbal aromatic topnotes to provide a recognizable varietal signature. Very well done. A Platinum Award winner at the 2018 San Diego International Wine & Spirits Challenge.
