A tasting of examples of Riesling from around the world inspired winemaker Mark Robinson to include one in the winery line-up. Sourced from Santa Ynez vineyards, this is leaning toward Alsace in style, but with a fresh SoCal flair. It is quite dry, with bright citrus, very faint petrol notes, a rocky/stony mineral core, a lime oil note that is undeniably attractive. You have heard me say more than once that we need more Riesling like this in California, and here we are.
