Domaine Curry, Napa Valley (California) Sauvignon Blanc 2023

 If I were to have a complaint about Sauvignon Blancs as a class, it is that they can be too severe (structure! structure! structure!) without the reward one gets from the similar severe whites like Chablis.  This Sauvignon is not a great wine, but it is a very nice one – a mellow Sauvignon, more generous, more blowsy and open without being fat and undisciplined.  Its fruits are more yellowish in flavors than greenish and much more interesting.
