Following suit with the rest of Sonoma County, this vineyard was harvested a bit later than average thanks to a very long, even vintage in 2023 that will likely go down as one of the great ones in California. This wine makes such a case, with densely concentrated aromas and flavors that bring to mind a black cherry & rhubarb pie (if such a thing exists) accented by signature Carneros earth tones. A firm structure and barrel influence promise an unfolding of layers over time, but that doesn’t mean you can’t jump right in and enjoy it near term.
