This is a bit atypical for a Rosé from the variety, but that works in its favor here. It’s a very dry, almost chalky style that will please fans of Provençal styles, and turn them on to the idea that Pinot Noir is great for Rosé in California — across a stylistic range. Tart strawberry, lemon, bay leaf and a little pepper ride firm acidity through a crisp finish that has depth without losing freshness. Nice!
