I continue to be amazed at how quickly, and with open minds, Virginia winemakers have selected and seized upon what often seem to be unlikely grapes to fit their growing sites. This choice from Southwest France is one of them. The wine is golden in color, has vibrant apple flesh and apple skin flavors with a metallic minerality, good intensity, and a finishes that features notes of baking spices and with bright acidity.
