Ernesto Catena’s 2020 “Ánimal” Cabernet is a lean red, but with good weight on the palate, blackberry and black currant flavors, some savory notes, and a somewhat gamey finish (animal might be the right word, at least in French). That finish is firmed gently by mild tannins.
