I always like this bottling from Esporão – its eclectic collection of varieties is always managed with grace and verve. The bouquet of the 2018 iteration shows dill, pepper, blackberry and cigar leaf, and the palate shows bright acidity and moderate tannins, delivering the aromatic elements with layered integration. I don’t often find myself saying words like this in this price range. Contains Alicante Bouschet, Touriga Nacional, Aragonez, Syrah, Trincadeira, Cabernet Sauvignon and Touriga Franca.
