cherry pie aromas open the proceedings here, befitting a wine with a “spooky fall concept” – I wouldn’t say it’s not scary at all, which will come in handy after a hard evening of leading the kids around the neighborhood. Or you might opt to take it to a more adult celebration, where costumed minions will appreciate the rich dark cherry, nutmeg and faint dried herbs. It’s a crowd-pleasing style of Cabernet Franc that keeps its inherent complexity intact.
