This Sekt is a blend of 77% Zweigelt, 16% Pinot Noir and 7% St. Laurent and comes from one of Austria’s most-respected producers. It is both fresh on the palate with a mouth-filling gush of bubbles while still possessing a richness of mature fruit at the finish with almost a taste of brulée. The flavors are of preserved fruits – strawberries and nectarines – with good minerality, all perhaps testimony to the wine’s spontaneous fermentation in stainless steel where it is allowed to age on lees for four months before bottle fermentation begins.
