Gina Gallo’s Pinot is all about black fruit (dark berry, cherry and plum), with cassis, briar and black-tea tannins. It’s sturdy, not delicate, and a classic representation of Santa Lucia Highlands Pinot Noir. The firm tannins and 14.7% alcohol suggest service with beef, lamb and duck, and anything roasted.
