Gary Farrell Vineyards & Winery, Russian River Valley (Sonoma County, California) Rochioli Vineyard Pinot Noir 2022 ($105)

In spite of its good score, it seems like this Pinot Noir somewhat under-performs when considering its origins and price. It has lovely berry aromas, enjoyable raspberry flavors, medium body and lots of acidity, but the elements don’t all come together as an overly impressive presentation. It also seems a tad hot in the finish, although the alcohol is reported at 13.5%.
