If it has been a while since you gave Nouveau Beaujolais a spin, this is a wine that might spin your opinion of Nouveau around. This comes from vines with an average age of 45 years that are tended by 4th generation ownership. It does carry the character that makes the category so attractive, with fresh blackberry and violet aromas, mixed berry flavors and bright acidity making it a fine pairing for fall and winter dishes, but it does so in fairly serious fashion, with some tannic grip driving the flavors through a long finish that will make you think that you can lay it down for a while. Which you could certainly do.
