It is always a pleasure to find a needle in a haystack, so to speak, in the oceans of wine available to us, and sometimes a label that you wouldn’t even know to look for comes as a nice surprise. The wine is a find, showing full throttle regional mineral notes under rich black fruit. Winemaker Keith Rolle finds the balance point between the fruit and the oak tones, and keeps a solid tannic backbone intact. Well done!
