It is difficult to think of a 10 Year-Old as an introductory Tawny, but for those who start on a ruby Port, this one has some of the rich fruitiness with which they are familiar but also the emerging savory notes of a more-aged Tawny, and this is a superb recent release of this perennial from the Symington’s estates. Overall, it is a lovely combination of layered, dark fruits blended with touches of toffee and nuttiness along with lots of dusty tannins and an excellent, rich, lingering finish.
