If you’ve been around long enough, you see brands bought and sold with often little that was once was there remaining except the name on the label. After making my tasting notes on this one, we were having the wine for dinner with two or three others, and my wife volunteered, “Hahn has always said to me ‘dependable quality.’” I had been thinking the same thing earlier. It is an enjoyable red in the lower mid-level price range with medium weight, vibrant blackberry fruit, good balance and pleasant tannins – a tribute to the name.
