This is both a terrific wine and an outstanding value. The concentration is exceptional and the depth of fruit virtually bottomless, yet fresh acidity keeps this from seeming anything but graceful even on a very large scale. Red and blue berry fruit notes are ultra-expressive, and it is remarkable that such a big wine can seem so refreshing and inviting rather than soupy and imposing.
