Mostly Samsó (a.k.a. Carignan) along with 20% Garnatxa Negra, this is broad in texture and deep in flavor, with punchy fruit but also savory undertones and impressively grippy texture. Wood notes are present in the form of a toasty topnote and some spice in the finish, but the fruit certainly holds center stage, with taut acidity and fine-grained tannin providing framing and firmness. Very well grown and made, this offers strong value for the money.
