J. Lohr has been sourcing Cabernet Sauvignon from this vineyard for a while now, and this bottling really shows that they’ve paid close attention to how to handle it. It’s the best I’ve tasted to date, showing classic Napa character with blackberry, currants, faint dried herbs, pepper and moderate oak spice in both aroma and flavor profiles, with supple tannins, food friendly acidity and a long finish. I’d let this age a few years for full integration. Very well made, and a Platinum Award winner at the 2015 Winemaker Challenge International Wine Competition.
