Bold, lusty Pinot Noirs are not my favorite style, but this one really works. Forward dark fruit, bright sweet oak spice, some heat that’s not over the top, damp earth and notes of powder – just a lot going on here, and it manages to hold itself together. Five different clones comprise the blend, all contributing something interesting to the overall package. Think brazen and beefy when pairing this one.
