This J. Mourat blend of Pinot Noir, Cabernet Franc, Negrette, and Cabernet Sauvignon hits all the classic French buttons for me. It shows excellent balance, moderate power, a touch of garrigue, and a heaping scoop of earthiness. J. Mourat is located in Loire’s west coast, facing south against the Atlantic Ocean. Château Marie du Fou displays the family’s talent in winemaking.
