A second label from Sierra Foothills pioneer Scott Harvey’s team, this might be an unexpected variety from the region, but this bottling shows that it’s found a suitable home here. It plays like a serious Vinho Verde, with lively floral and fruit aromas, citric brightness, no spritzy character, dry style and a long zesty finish. It is a great solo glass of bracing white built for warm weather — or for when you want to imagine warm weather. If you don’t think Foothills when you think white, this will shift your paradigm.
