The 2018 vintages produced some charming red Burgundies, some of which, such as this one, are delicious now. Féray’s has wonderful depth for a village wine, reflecting the ripeness of the grapes due to the warmth of the vintage. Good acidity keeps it fresh and balances its red fruit-like fruitiness. It blossoms as it sits in the glass. It has the requisite balance to develop with bottle age, but I suspect you won’t have the patience to wait, especially if there is a roast chicken about to emerge from the oven.
