More and more, the Douro Valley, home to Port wine production, is turning out some excellent dry red wines. This fragrant red, a blend of Touriga Nacional (50%), Tinto Roriz (32%), and Touriga Francesca, delivers a combination of red and black fruit flavors wrapped in mild tannins. A bold wine, it retains elegance and freshness, not always the case for wines with this kind of oomph. It would be a good choice for hearty fare now that the weather has turned cold. It’s a great buy!
